Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BamBoast (the "App"), provided by SSRS Labs ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use BamBoast. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the App with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Description of the App

BamBoast is a companion tool for players of physical American Mah Jongg (NMJL rules). It helps track turn order, Charleston passes, and your personal win and card-line history for a game already in progress at a physical table. BamBoast does not deal tiles, simulate an opponent, validate hands, or offer any form of online or real-money play.

3. No Account Required

BamBoast does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use its features. A local profile is created automatically on your device when you first open the App, and your game data, win history, and preferences are stored on that device.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the player names, win history, and card progress you enter into the App ("Your Content"). Your Content is stored locally on your device; we do not transmit, store, or have access to it on our servers. You may export a personal backup of Your Content at any time from Settings, and you are responsible for keeping your own copies — see Section 9.

5. NMJL Trademark & Copyright

BamBoast is an independent companion app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Mah Jongg League, Inc. ("NMJL"). The NMJL's official annual card hand patterns are copyrighted material; BamBoast never reproduces them and tracks card progress using generic numbered lines only (Line 1, Line 2, etc.). You are responsible for obtaining your own official NMJL card to reference actual hand combinations at the table.

6. Purchases

BamBoast is offered as a one-time paid download through the App Store ($4.99 USD, subject to change). There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases. All payments are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's own terms and refund policies.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the App or its underlying systems
• Use the App to store or transmit malicious code
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App

8. Third-Party Services

The App uses an anonymous usage-analytics service to help us understand feature usage and diagnose crashes. No advertising identifiers are collected, and analytics can be disabled at any time in Settings. See our Privacy Policy for details.

9. Data Loss

Because Your Content is stored locally on your device, uninstalling the App, replacing your device, or clearing app data without first exporting a backup may permanently delete it. We are not liable for loss of data stored locally on your device.

10. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, graphics, and underlying software, is owned by SSRS Labs and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for Your Content, nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the App.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SSRS Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the App.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

14. Changes to the App or These Terms

We may modify or discontinue the App, in whole or in part, at any time. We may also update these Terms as the App changes; continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which SSRS Labs is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
